This Privacy Policy explains how LFG Ventures LLC(“WeKnowSalons,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the WeKnowSalons platform and websites (the “Service”). We Know Salons is a brand of its parent company, LFG Ventures LLC.

1. Who this covers

• Salon accounts — owners and staff who subscribe to and use the Service.
• Booking customers — people who book appointments through a salon’s booking page. We process their information on behalf of the salon to provide bookings and notifications; the salon controls that data.

2. Information we collect

• Account & business information: name, email, phone, salon name, address, service menu, staff, hours, and content you upload (logos, photos, copy).
• Booking information: a customer’s name, email/phone, and appointment details submitted when they book.
• Payment information: subscription payments are handled by Square. We receive a payment token and limited details (such as the card brand and last four) — we never receive or store full card numbers.
• Usage & device data: basic log, device, and analytics data to operate and improve the Service.

3. How we use information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service and build/maintain salon websites;
• To process subscription billing and send account and transactional messages;
• To send booking confirmations and reminders by email and, where enabled, SMS;
• To provide support and respond to requests;
• To protect the Service and comply with legal obligations.

4. Service providers we share with

We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf to run the Service, including:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage;
• Square — subscription billing and payment processing;
• Resend — transactional email;
• Twilio — SMS notifications (where enabled);
• Render — application hosting.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.

5. Text messages (SMS)

Where a salon enables text messaging, we send only transactional messages — appointment confirmations, reminders, and reschedule or cancellation notices. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

• How you opt in: consent is collected through our web forms only (for example, the appointment booking form and the owner account signup). The SMS option is unchecked/off by default — you choose to turn it on. We do not add anyone to texting from a phone list, purchased data, or any other source.
• Frequency & rates: message frequency varies with your appointments; message & data rates may apply.
• Opting out: reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for help.
• Provider: text messages are delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. For full details, sample messages, and the exact consent language shown on our forms, see our SMS / messaging policy.

6. Booking customer data (salon-controlled)

For booking customers, the salon is the party that decides how their information is used; we act as a processor providing the booking and notification tools. If you are a booking customer with a request about your data, please contact the salon you booked with; we will assist the salon as needed.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, security, and to understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion as described below.

9. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email us at the address below. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time; transactional and account messages may still be sent.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
